RI PSI Alumni Club

On 18 February 2011 graduates of the Department of Psychology at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Rijeka, founded an alumni club. Its purpose is to connect former students of Rijeka's psychology studies, to build mutual relationships and cooperation, and to encourage their exchange of opinions, ideas and experiences. Nada Kegalj from the Podmurvice Elementary School in Rijeka, the first graduate psychologist of the first generation of psychology studies in Rijeka, was elected as president of RI PSI Alumni Club.

Alumni Club's intention is to establish and maintain a relationship between Rijeka's Department of Psychology and its former graduates, as well as to connect with the PSIRIUS, association of the psychology students at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Rijeka.

The Department of Psychology initiated the founding of the Alumni Club because keeping track of the professional development and careers of the former students, as well as their further education, is actually the most relevant evaluation of its work. The foundation of the Alumni Club also opens up the possibility for cooperation between its members and current students regarding students' practical work experiences (internships). But its basic intention is collaboration and socialization of the psychologists working in different jobs, who are linked through a common background – they are all graduates of the Department of the Psychology in Rijeka. The foundation of the Alumni club is related to the marking of the 4th Week of Psychology in Croatia.
